NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Rehabilitation Medicine
About Us Rehabilitation Services Rehabilitation A-Z For Patient For Professionals Education

Our world-class facility offers an outstanding residency training program with a diverse and comprehensive clinical experience supplemented by a strong didactic program. Our residents become experts in caring for patients with disability and maximizing their functional independence.

Residency Program 2006
In 2000, the residency programs of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and NewYork Weill Cornell Medical Center were combined and restructured to form one Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program following the merging of the two hospitals. The unique rotations on each of the Hospital's campuses coupled with affiliating sites complement one another and create one of the strongest unified residency programs in the country. In addition, the program has continued full ACCME accreditation.

All of our residents are eligible for housing at our NewYork-Presbyterian Hosptial/Weill Cornell Medical Center housing facilities. A variety of high-rise apartments are available at affordable rates. These buildings are located in the highly desirable upper east side neighborhood of Manhattan within one block of the medical center. More information can be obtained by contacting Cornell Housing.

Information about salary and benefits can be obtained by visiting NewYork-Presbyterian's campus webpage on Graduate Medical Education (may only be accessed on campus).
